“I thought it was a great way to look at feminism, especially now, in light of the whole situation in the U.S., and here in Canada as well. Having Justin Trudeau as our prime minister, who’s a self-proclaimed feminist, is fantastic, and being able to look at how other women are expressing their ideas or expressing their thoughts, or even their experiences . . . I’ve not been a huge feminist my entire life, I’ve probably been more of a very quiet type of feminist, but it was a wonderful way to be able to look at some of those ideas and look at how I might be able to express them through art.”
