Final tickets open up for opera debut

Opera lovers have a last chance to see prima donna Anna Netrebko in her Canadian debut. The Canadian Opera Company (COC) and Show One Productions say standing-room tickets will be made available Tuesday to Trio Magnifico: The Ultimate Opera Gala, which stars Netrebko, her husband tenor Yusif Eyazov and baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky.

The sold-out show takes place Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto, but “a limited number” of $50 standing-room tickets will be available at 11 a.m. at the COC box office at 145 Queen St. W.
