Dickey wins, Syndergaard’s sore
NEW YORK— R.A. Dickey had not pitched at Citi Field since 2012, when he was traded by the Mets to the Blue Jays for a package featuring Noah Syndergaard. On Thursday, Dickey, now with the Braves, was slated to face Syndergaard, but the Mets ace was scratched with biceps and shoulder discomfort. “It was pretty anticlimactic considering there was no Syndergaard,” said Dickey, who got the W with five steady innings in a 7-5 Atlanta victory.
