Protesting fans tricked into leaving

-

LONDON— Relegated Leyton Orient’s final home match in League Two ended in an empty stadium after an earlier pitch invasion led to the crowd being told the game against Colchester had been abandoned. Angry fans who blame Italian owner Francesco Becchetti for the club dropping out of the Football League after 112 years flooded onto the pitch with five minutes remaining. When the game resumed an hour later, no fans were there to witness Colchester confirm its 3-1 win.
