Canadian BFFs to meet in final

PARIS— Canadian internationals and best friends, Ashley Lawrence and Kadeisha Buchanan, will face off in an all-French women’s Champions League final. Lawrence’s PSG beat Barcelona 2-0 to advance 5-1 on aggregate on Saturday. Buchanan’s Lyon, the defending champion, lost 1-0 to Manchester City but advanced 3-2 on aggregate. The final is slated for June 1 in Cardiff. Lawrence and Buchanan, both 21, played on the same team as kids in Brampton and at West Virginia University.
