Mayor Tory’s bully tactics give Wynne no wiggle room

-

Re Tension climbs between Wynne, Tory, May 3 Mayor John Tory believes that publicly bullying Premier Kathleen Wynne will get Toronto money for our decaying Toronto community housing.

Bullying is, unfortunately, now commonly done, often by those trained in corporate bullying like Tory and U.S. President Donald Trump.

Likewise, flirting with Progressive Conservative Leader Patrick Brown will infuriate the premier. Mr. Brown is a devious hologram of a man and some will remember that it was his predecessors, Mike Harris and Ernie Eves, who got us into this mess in the first place.

The mayor has given the premier no incentive to be graceful. You have to give room for the other person also to win, to encourage them to offer something. Douglas Buck, Toronto If John Tory had not acted like a politician and accepted the province’s gift of an LRT for Scarborough, he could have devoted some of the $3 billion being wasted on the one-stop subway to what is truly needed: a relief line.

The Yonge line is beyond capacity already and they are talking about extending it. Allan McPherson, Newmarket
