The 33-year-old Votto, who returns to play in his hometown for the first time since 2009, continues to put up big numbers, with 37 runs (fourth in the NL), 39 RBIs (sixth) and a .415 on-base percentage (eighth). The Reds are 13-12 in the month of May; the Jays, 15-10 . . . Should lefty J.A. Happ, who returned to the Jays clubhouse on Sunday, return to the mound on Tuesday, it would be his first outing since being pulled from a loss to Baltimore on April 16 with elbow inflammation.
