Red Sox lose in Price’s return

-

CHICAGO— David Price, back from an elbow injury, lasted five innings in his season debut and served up Melky Cabrera’s three-run homer in Boston’s 5-4 loss to the Chicago White Sox on Sunday. “It’s definitely a step in the right direction,” said Price, in the second season of a seven-year, $217-million contact. “I felt good.” The Red Sox, though, lost second baseman Dustin Pedroia with a sprained wrist suffered on a play at first base and sent him back to Boston for tests.
