Kasparov makes his move back to game
Chess legend Garry Kasparov, who dominated chess for two decades and has been retired from competitive play since 2005, is returning to competition next month in St. Louis.
Kasparov, a Russian who became a Croatian citizen in 2014, has worked with the Chess Club and Scholastic Center of St. Louis for eight years.
Kasparov, 54, became world champion at age 22 in 1985 and held that position until 2000. He has been politically active in Russia and has been arrested several times for activism against President Vladimir Putin.
