Chickens, rats and feral cats

Re Bring on the hens: Editorial, July 12 Get yourself a few backyard chickens and you’ll never be alone again. Not only will you have the chickens for company, you will have non-stop visits from raccoons, rats, mice, skunks and feral cats. If you live anywhere near a ravine or a park, you might also have coyotes and foxes paying nightly visits. Humans are not the only creatures who like fresh eggs and nice, plump chickens.
