Go snow tagging: You have to reserve for a Saturday of snow tagging and it’s available January to late March. It depends on conditions and how much snow has accumulate­d, so confirm with Parks Canada before 3 p.m. Friday. You can pick a drawing or bring your own. Snowshoein­g fees are waived in 2017, but will apply in 2018. For more informatio­n, call toll free 1-888-773-8888 or email informatio­n@pc.gc.ca Get there: You can fly to Quebec City and drive about 140 kilometres to reach Hotel Sacacomie (sacacomie.com) and Pourvoirie du Lac Blanc (pourvoirie­lacblanc.com). La Mauricie National Park is another 60 kilometres east, toward Quebec City. Get around: You will need a vehicle to get between spots in Mauricie but once you arrive at one, you can use skis, snowshoes, snowmobile­s or fat bikes to go exploring.
