Geraldo says sorry (sort of ) to Midler

Bette Midler asked for an apology from Geraldo Rivera and she got one. But he also cast doubt on her side of the story.

Rivera tweeted his response on Friday morning to Midler’s recollection of an encounter in the 1970s, when she claimed the longtime journalist forcibly groped her after he and a producer “pushed” her into a bathroom. “Although I recall the time @BetteMidler has alluded to much differently than she, that does not change the fact that she has a right to speak out & demand an apology from me, for in the very least, publically (sic) embarrassing her all those years ago,” wrote Rivera, 74.
