City’s east end struck by power outage
Toronto Hydro reported a major outage in Toronto’s east end during Monday’s morning commute. Power was restored just after 8:20 a.m.
The outage began around 6 a.m., affecting a large area with boundaries from St. Clair Ave. E. to Lake Shore Blvd., and between Yonge St. and Victoria Park Ave., Toronto Hydro confirmed. Approximately 20,000 customers were left in the dark as a result of the outage.
The hydro distribution company says the issue was a result of lost power supply from Hydro One.
