A Jan. 16 article about an 11-yearold girl thrust into the spotlight last week after alleging a man cut her hijab incorrectl­y said Mark Pugash, Toronto Police director of communicat­ions, told the Star that a prelimi- nary investigat­ion had been completed by the time a police spokespers­on arrived at the girl’s school for a press conference. In fact, Pugash told the Star that the press conference, not the preliminar­y investigat­ion, had been completed by the time the police spokespers­on arrived at the school.

Convention­al ovens need more time baking and higher temperatur­es than convection ovens and the general rule is to increase the temperatur­e by 20 C when converting from convection to convention­al. A Jan. 15 article about errors in the cookbook Sweet mistakenly said to reduce the temperatur­e by 20 C.
