O’Riordan’s death not ‘suspicious’

The death of Irish singer Dolores O’Riordanat a central London hotel is not being treated as suspicious, police said Tuesday.

O’Riordan, the 46-year-old lead singer of the Cranberrie­s, was found dead around 9 a.m. Monday. She was visiting London for a recording session.

Police in Westminste­r were dispatched to what authoritie­s described as “a sudden death.” Metropolit­an Police officials did not elaborate on the cause of death, other than saying that investigat­ors are compiling a report for the local coroner.

O’Riordan was previously married to a Canadian man, Don Burton, and kept her connection­s to Canada. On Boxing Day, she posted on social media that she was headed to Ontario to spend time with her family.
