O’Riordan’s death not ‘suspicious’
The death of Irish singer Dolores O’Riordanat a central London hotel is not being treated as suspicious, police said Tuesday.
O’Riordan, the 46-year-old lead singer of the Cranberries, was found dead around 9 a.m. Monday. She was visiting London for a recording session.
Police in Westminster were dispatched to what authorities described as “a sudden death.” Metropolitan Police officials did not elaborate on the cause of death, other than saying that investigators are compiling a report for the local coroner.
O’Riordan was previously married to a Canadian man, Don Burton, and kept her connections to Canada. On Boxing Day, she posted on social media that she was headed to Ontario to spend time with her family.
