Women ask James Franco to apologize
Two women who have accused James Franco of sexual misconduct granted ABC’s Good Morning America their first television interview on Tuesday.
Sarah Tither-Kaplan, 26, had been an acting student at the Studio 4 film school that Franco founded and has accused him of adding “gratuitous and exploitative” scenes in a class on sex scenes. But she added that “James is absolutely not a Harvey Weinstein, he is not an unfeeling monster who has no sense of reality.”
Violet Paley, 23, described being pressured into performing oral sex on Franco when they were dating. When asked how they wanted Franco to make amends, Tither-Kaplan said she hoped the actor would work to create opportunities for women in film. “Please just apologize,” Paley added.
