A Modern Approach to Living: Marrying the Old with the New

-

1001 Broadview Residences, Verton Developments’ latest project, will expand and revitalize one of East York’s historic neighbourhoods. Located on the site that housed Whistler’s Grille and McNeil Room for over 35 years, this unique combination of townhouses, luxury condominium suites, and expansive retail spaces is designed to be user-friendly, future-proof, and green. Significantly, the proposed development also preserves this corner’s iconic establishment, Whistler’s Grille, by embedding it in its retail space. 1001 Broadview Residences sets out to create a new standard in design and excellence both in its exterior and interior composition. Each home in this stunning modern building will be equipped with state-of-the-art smart features, including remotely accessible intelligent thermostats, master switches that control all lights from one location, energy efficient appliances, and much more. In response to the needs of a modern lifestyle, 1001 Broadview Residences will also feature fully-wired car charging stations in the underground parking structure and more than 120 bicycle parking spaces that promote and support the shift towards green living. The proposed development integrates green spaces into its innovative design not only by placing abundant trees and hedges along its expansive sidewalks, but also by incorporating green walls and a rooftop garden into its design. This garden will help source the ingredients for Whistler’s Grille, which is scheduled to re-open its doors upon completion of the project.
