> KEYS TO SUCCESS

-

To what trait do you attribute your success?

Passion and determination.

When/where are you most creative?

When listening to music and in nature.

How do you overcome a fear of change?

I don’t fear change. Change is good, we need to welcome change with an open mind and adapt to it. It’s a part of continuity!

What’s the best way to be heard?

Speaking your mind and speaking with passion!

What has been your biggest hurdle?

Starting from scratch, with no map or playbook. It was like walking off the path to create something new.

Who is your hero?

Robert F. Kennedy (who was assassinated while campaigning for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination in 1968). I admire him for his authenticity, his empathy and his great devotion to people cast aside in American society. He was seeking change and he was ready to create it.

What do you hope is your legacy?

Engaging others in the path of change through social entrepreneurship and my children continuing to share and hold dear our family values.

What’s next for you?

Scaling the project to its full potential, right across the country. That would reveal the true power of the kind of social change that is possible through hard work.
