Bolts hand Gourde $31M extension

The Lightning signed forward Yanni Gourde to a six-year contract extension worth almost $31 million U.S. The undrafted Gourde had a career-best 25 goals and 39 assists last season, and is off to a hot start with four goals and eight assists in 12 games this season. General manager Julien BriseBois said he personifies the Lightning’s team identity “with his speed and relentlessness on the ice.”
