The Pink Floyd tribute show Brit Floyd returns to the Sony Centre on April 5 with a special 40th anniversar­y retrospect­ive of the band’s legendary rock opera The Wall. Tickets go on sale Friday at sonycentre.ca.

Sheridan College grad Camille Eanga-Selenge, who was part of the Broadway cast of The Book of Mormon, will star as Dorothy in Ross Petty Production­s’ The Wizard of Oz — A Toto-ly Twisted Family Musical, onstage Nov. 30. Quebec video artist and set designer Stephanie Jasmin has won the $100,000 Siminovitc­h Prize in Theatre for her “beautiful and highly original visions.” The 38-year-old gets $75,000 and her protégé, emerging set designer MaxOtto Fauteux, gets $25,000.

Other finalists included Montreal-based sound designer and musician Alexander MacSween; Toronto-based designer Camellia Koo; and Itai Erdal, the artistic director of the Vancouver’s Elbow Theatre.

Ariana Grande is Billboard’s 2018 Woman of the Year. The 25-year-old will receive the award at Billboard’s13th annual Women in Music event on Dec. 6 in New York City.

Idris Elba may not be the next James Bond, but he is your “Sexiest Man Alive” for 2018. Elba, 46, whose breakthrou­gh role was drug kingpin “Stringer” Bell on HBO’s The Wire, is the 33rd man to receive the People magazine honour.
