Ball toss costs Irving $25,000

Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving was fined $25,000 U.S. by the NBA for throwing a basketball into the stands at the end of Boston’s 115-107 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Monday night. Irving was mad that Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray took a three-point-shot with the clock winding down and the outcome settled. Murray finished wiht 48 points, the most ever by a Canadian in a regular season game.
