Man dead after car falls off jack

A 32-year-old Brampton man who was working on a car when it suddenly fell off the jack — trapping him underneath the vehicle — has died in hospital.

The freak incident occurred just before 5 p.m. Dec.19 at Lundy’s Lane and Lindridge Ave. in Brampton.

Scott Jonathon Martin was “trapped under a vehicle,” Peel paramedics said, and rushed to a local hospital in life-threatening condition. The injuries Martin sustained were too severe and he died Sunday.
