Garofalo defends pal Louis C.K.

Janeane Garofalo is taking a public stand in support of her old friend Louis C.K. While being interviewed on the Bust podcast Poptarts, things got heated when Garofalo backed the comedian, including his recent appearances at venues like New York’s Comedy Cellar.

“Leave Louis C.K. alone. Enough with that … there are so many issues we’ve got to be motivated on. He’s been my friend … since 1985, and I think he has suffered,” said Garofalo.

Louis C.K.’s appearance at the Comedy Cellar in August was met with controversy from many who questioned whether he should be allowed back less than a year after being accused of sexual misconduct amid the #MeToo movement.
