Homan wins 10th Grand Slam title

NORTH BATTLEFORD, SASK.— Ottawa’s Rachel Homan picked up a record-breaking 10th Grand Slam of Curling title and her third in a row this season with a 4-3 win over Switzerlan­d’s Silvana Tirinzoni in the final of the Canadian Open. Homan’s squad took home $30,000 of the $125,000 women’s purse. In the men’s final, Edmonton’s Brendan Bottcher won his first career slam with a 6-3 victory over Toronto’s John Epping.
