Kuchar wins Sony, Conners ties for 3rd

HONOLULU— Matt Kuchar overcame three early bogeys that cost him the lead with flawless golf and two key birdies on the back nine to close with a 4-under 66 and win the Sony Open for his second PGA Tour title this season. Kuchar, who had just one bogey in his first 54 holes, fell one shot behind Andrew Putnam before rallying to win by four. Canadian Corey Conners tied for third at 17-under after his second straight 64.
