Kapanen on shelf with concussion

-

The Maple Leafs faced the Blackhawks without secondline winger Kasperi Kapanen, who was diagnosed with a concussion. Kapanen also missed Monday’s game against the Lightning, for what the club described as precautionary reasons because of illness. “(Kapanen) has got great speed, he has a tremendous work ethic, he’s on the penalty kill … so it affects you,” Leafs coach Mike Babcock said Wednesday.
