Chabot sidelined with broken toe

Senators all-star defenceman Thomas Chabot is out week-to-week with a broken toe, suffered while blocking a shot on Monday night in Philadelphia. Senators head coach Marc Crawford said Chabot, the club’s leading scorer with 49 points, hopes to return this season. Meanwhile, Ottawa-born college free-agent signing Max Veronneau is expected to make his NHL debut on Thursday against the Blues.
