Lindor takes step toward opening day
Francisco Lindor, Cleveland’s three-time all-star shortstop, returned to the field Wednesday for a controlled minor league game, a major step in his recovery from a calf strain that has sidelined him for weeks. The club says he could be ready for opening day, March 28. Said Lindor, who scored 129 runs last season: “The only thing I haven’t done is run the bases,” he said.
