Jags cut Bortles with Foles deal done

-

The Jaguars released quarterback Blake Bortles four hours after officially agreeing to a four-year, $88-million (U.S.) deal with Nick Foles on Wednesday, the official start of free agency and two days after the sides settled on terms. Bortles, who signed a threeyear, $58-million deal last year, was arguably the most ridiculed passer in the league in recent seasons. The Jaguars will save $4.5 million U.S. against the cap.
