About #2, Bina, Shonna Froebel, from Whitchurch-Stouffville Public Library wrote in her Canadian Bookworm blogspot:
“This novel is unlike anything I’ve ever read. I loved the writing and the character right from the start, and I could barely put it down.” About #10: “This is a great followup to The Expats and is perfect for people who like thrillers or espionage novels.”
— Margaret Elwood, Toronto Public Library
The list this month represents a nice mix of independent and big publishers, and a wide breadth of book types, from cookbooks to romantic novels to mysteries, history and literary criticism.
Loan Stars’ monthly lists of the top 10 upcoming books are voted on by library staff across Canada and organized by BookNet Canada and the Canadian Urban Libraries Council (CULC).
