Aykroyd, Shaffer, Shad join jazz fest

Blues Brothers co-founder Dan Aykroyd and Late Night with David Letterman band leader Paul Shaffer will be among the special guests onstage at the TD Toronto Jazz Festival mainstage on June 22, celebrating the 50th anniversary of a Canadian musical institution, Downchild Blues Band.

The performance will headline the jazz fest’s free opening weekend celebrations, the event revealed on Tuesday.

Also added to the festival lineup on June 23 are 80-yearold gospel star Shirley Caesar and rapper Shad, among others.
