The Tin Man realized that the best hope for success, when East produced the club queen, was to hope for a blockage. There would be no problems if clubs broke 4-4. Accordingly, he won the ace of clubs and drove out the ace of spades to score an overtrick.

At the other table from the team game, the Scarecrow led the king of clubs versus the same contract after which there was no play for the game. How did you find the killing lead? The Lion commented that there was still a card in the board from the Scarecrow’s hand (the five of clubs). If I hadn’t noticed it at the time, we would have had a revoke several tricks later.

This book is a sequel to ‘If I only Had a Heart’ featuring Dorothy, the Tin Man and the rest of gang at the Over the Rainbow Bridge Club.
