Re Federal Tories fear Ford effect, sources say, June 9 I have mixed feelings about the Ontario PC government’s decision to run away and hide until the federal election is over.

I’m disappointed that this government “for the people’” chooses crass political expediency to avoid the people so its national Conservative cousins’ election prospects are improved.

I’m amused that they obviously realize Year One has been a total trainwreck, from the top on down, and feel best to take it on the lam until the heat dies down.

I’m worried that they have more nasty stuff in mind that would definitely hurt federal Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer and company, should it be revealed before Election Day.

I’m gratified that, just maybe, we’ll get a break from the daily chaos this government unleashes on the electorate.

And, I’m marginally hopeful that the PCs will take their extended leave to actually do some thinking and planning prior to future policy announcements.
