Ontario needs to add choice for cannabis consumers

Re Do better on cannabis sales, Editorial, July 31 Here’s the choice legal cannabis consumers have at present. You can buy from store A supplied by grower A, or from store B supplied by grower A. Or maybe from store C, surprise!, also supplied by grower A.

And not surprisingly financed by Bay St.backed growers with little to no experience, their interests protected by former law enforcement officers as partners. The choices are stark. Support the people who vilified and arrested you in the past, now milking a legal industry, one that could have helped a lot of small business people.

Most would prefer to maintain a connection to the people who fought for our freedom from the status quo. We need more choices and we want them now. Not when the status quo figures out how to exploit it further into the future. Richard Kadziewicz, Scarborough
