Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador scuttled plans a year ago for the New Internatio­nal Airport in Texcoco. It was meant to ease the burden on Mexico City’s Benito Juarez airport, a few kilometres away, which has consistent traffic jams at the gates.
