What’s open and closed over the holidays

Christmas Eve Open

TTC will run regular service, which starts at 6 a.m.; GO Transit will provide early homebound service, so GO trains will leave Union Station earlier than normal.

Canada Post and government offices

Toronto Public Library, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

All LCBOs and Beer Stores will remain open until 6 p.m.

Skating rinks at Nathan Phillips Square and Union Station

Malls: Eaton Centre will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., CF Fairview Mall will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Scarboroug­h Town Centre will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Yorkdale Mall will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Dufferin Mall will be open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

CN Tower general tickets and regular observatio­n are open from 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., the 360 restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Art Gallery of Ontario will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada will be open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.; and Royal Ontario Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

TTC runs on its Sunday schedule with subway service and most routes starting at 8 a.m.; GO Transit will run on a Sunday schedule

CN Tower’s three observatio­n levels will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., no food or beverage service available

Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada will be open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Nathan Phillips Square skating rink Closed

Canada Post; government offices, community centres, arenas, child-care centres, city museums, city archives, Toronto Public Library, banks

Garbage collection (all Wednesday garbage pick ups will resume Thursday)

Boxing Day Open

TTC will be on holiday service, meaning that all routes will operate on Sunday schedules, but will start at 6 a.m. Any routes that don’t normally operate on Sundays, will not operate on the holiday; GO Transit will be running on a Sunday schedule. All malls Select LCBO stores will be open and operate on reduced hours; select Beer Stores will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
