Blue Rodeo, Jackson, Martinez, announce Toronto concert dates

Janet Jackson will have a new album, “Black Diamond,” out sometime this year, but her Toronto concert date is firm: She will play the Scotiabank Arena on July 22, Live Nation revealed Monday.

Tickets to the 53-year-old pop/R&B legend’s first Toronto show since 2017 go on sale Thursday from livenation.com and Ticketmast­er.ca; they’ll set you back $55 to $230, before fees.

The other show whose tickets release on Thursday is that of former “The Voice” Melanie Martinez, who’ll play Echo Beach on June 13; tickets are $51. The rest of Monday’s announced shows all go on sale on Valentine’s Day:

> Canadian roots-rock heroes Blue Rodeo, with special guests Alan Doyle and the Weather Station, play the Budweiser Stage on Aug. 29. No prices revealed.

> Alt-country’s Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit will take the stage at Meridian Hall on June 25. No word on prices.

> Rodriguez — 1970s rocker whose low profile was the subject of the 2012 documentar­y “Searching for Sugar Man” — also plays Meridian Hall, on June 13. Ticket prices are as yet undisclose­d.

> Thrash-metal institutio­ns Megadeth and Lamb of God co-headline at the Budweiser exactly two months before Blue Rodeo’s show, on June 29, with Trivium and In Flames opening. Tickets will be $30 to $110.

> U.K. indie-pop quartet Bombay Bicycle Club hits the Danforth Music hall on June 15. Tickets $35-$50.

> ’90s alt-metal survivors Deftones will play Echo Beach on Aug. 17 with Gojira and Poppy. Tickets $60.

> Comedian and longtime TV host Bill Maher comes to Meridian Hall on Aug. 29. Tickets $75 to $126.

> Sal Vulcano of TV’s “Impractica­l Jokers” performs standup for an age 18-plus crowd on May 14 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. Tickets $36-$46.
