Police ID victim in Saturday shooting

Police have identified the city’s 25th homicide victim of the year, who was shot and killed Saturday night in Scarborough’s Wexford neighbourhood. At around 10:45 p.m., police responded to a shooting call. Upon arriving, they found a man with a gunshot wound in front of a house. Emergency crews transported the man to hospital where he later died. The victim is 23-year-old Daniel Boima. Police said Sunday that a suspect vehicle was seen fleeing the area following the shooting, but no other information has been released.
