Keough, 64, was ace for A’s

Pitcher Matt Keough, one of Oakland’s “Five Aces” in 1981, died Friday, the A’s announced. He was 64 years old. Keough was the comeback player of the year in1980, with16 wins and 20 complete games, and joined teammates Rick Langford, Steve McCatty, Brian Kingman and Mike Norris on a Sports Illustrate­d cover the next year. His career, which included four years in Japan, ended after he was struck by a foul ball in 1992.
