The Ontario government announced the reopening of 520 provincial parks and conservation reserves on May 11 for limited day use. A May 10 editorial mistakenly referred to the reopening of conservation areas. In fact, conservation reserves are operated by the province whereas conservation areas are operated by various conservation authorities and will reopen at their own pace.
> The Ontario Secondary Teachers’ Federation, the union representing high school teachers, reached a tentative deal with the province on April 20. A May 13 column about the York Region District School Board mistakenly said the union signed a deal with the province. As well, the province and OSSTF agreed to an average student-teacher classroom ratio of 23:1, not 28:1.
> A May 11 headline mistakenly referred to respiratory therapists as medical students. In fact, they are specialized health care professionals with accreditation who monitor, assess and treat individuals who have difficulty breathing.
