Woman charged with stunt-driving

A 42-year-old woman who was allegedly impaired and showing off for teens in her car is facing multiple charges.

At about 6 p.m. Wednesday, York officers spotted a sports car travelling 140 km/h in a 60km/h zone on Keele Street near Langstaff Road in Vaughan.

They stopped the woman for stunt driving and then added impaired charges.

Police said the woman was apparently speeding to show two teens in the back seat how fast the car could go.
