Fauci races to 2nd in Belmont debut

-

A racehorse named after Dr. Anthony Fauci ran second — by a safe distance — in its debut at Belmont Park. Fauci — named in tribute to the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases — was the first to race among U.S. horses with names inspired by the pandemic. Social Distancing, Self Isolation, Flatten the Curve, Herd Immunity and No Spectators have also been registered with the Jockey Club.
