ANIMAL PROTEST TURNS DEADLY

Animal Save activists console each other Friday after a fellow protester was struck and killed by a pig transport truck at the entrance to Fearman’s Pork Inc., a processing plant on Harvester Road in Burlington. Regan Russell, 65, was run over while trying to give water to pigs inside the truck as it entered the facility. Halton Regional Police are investigating the fatal accident.
