Trudeau’s Liberals are taking Canadians for fools
Re WE Charity scandal risks tainting entire sector, July 28
For weeks now, we’ve been hearing about yet another Trudeau scandal and we’ve certainly read a lot about the Liberal party’s questionable ethical behaviour.
But what really gets me in this fiasco is the fact that wealthy families, such as that of the prime minister’s and Finance Minister Bill Morneau’s, have used a charity to increase their wealth. What hypocrisy using COVID-19 to breach ethical conduct rules.
If the Trudeau family is so concerned about charities and students, why would they not perform speaking engagements for free? Getting their expenses reimbursed, yes, but to augment their already considerable wealth by hundreds of thousands of dollars is morally wrong.
Has Morneau’s portfolio been so negatively impacted by COVID-19 that he needed help to fund his travels?
The worst of this is that yet again the Liberals are taking the Canadian voters for fools who will forget all about this latest scandal when election time comes around again.
