Arthur column an eye-opener on Ujiri incident at Raps game
Re The truth is there to see. And it’s all too familiar, Arthur, Aug. 19
Bruce Arthur’s slam dunk of the truth, with photos and words, in an exemplary display of news reporting, exposing the lie that Masai Ujiri committed the crime of battery of police.
The self-evident understanding of the facts of systemic racism — that policing is sometimes not a game played fairly — has rarely been as convincingly documented and demonstrated.
Most people assume that because society empowers the police that they administer the law according to society’s rules governing fairness with equal treatment for all. In fact, that is most often the general case.
However, when the police make a mistake then their default setting is often to resort to a selfserving hidden agenda, which the Ujiri case makes obvious.
