Anti-gay slur costs announcer NFL job
Cincinnati Reds voice Thom Brennaman, suspended by the club after using an anti-gay slur on air during Wednesday’s broadcast, was fired from his role on Fox Sports NFL telecasts. In a statement, Fox called Brennaman’s remarks “abhorrent, unacceptable, and not representative of the values of Fox Sports.” Brennaman had called NFL games on Fox since 1994.
