Waterloo event cancelled after alert

The men’s playoff round at the Stu Sells Oakville Tankard, held in Waterloo this year, was cancelled after an unidentified curler received a notification from the COVID Alert app, indicating contact with someone who has tested positive. It was one of the first prominent bonspiels of the year because of the pandemic, with the Brad Jacobs rink among 24 in the field. The women’s final went ahead, with Jennifer Jones beating Hollie Duncan 8-7 in an extra end.
