Opposition parties should help unite us, not divide us
The federal opposition parties would like us to see the current Liberal government as unethical and corrupt. I see the opposition as using their parliamentary privilege to issue slanderous allegations against not only the government, but against Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, his family and other members of the Liberal Party.
I believe opposition parties must oppose; I also believe such opposition must be done with integrity. To use one’s position to sow the seeds of suspicion, distrust, dislike and anger, possibly even hate, is not helpful in encouraging the country to work together. Janice Bowen, Peterborough
