Church’s challenge a topic for spirited conversation

Re Toronto church challenges gathering limits, Dec. 9

If Doug Ford and company want to be taken seriously when they impose lockdowns they need to use some common sense. A 31,000square-foot church like Toronto International Celebration Church is 54 per cent the size of an NFL football field which is 57,600 square feet. Imposing a 10-person maximum on the church is the sort of idiocy that diminishes the credibility of the government which in turn leads to cynicism and disobedience of the lockdown.

Richard Bouchard, Toronto

Lockdown measure violates right to freedom of religion? “Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” — Matthew 18:20. I guess the International Celebration Church in North York can’t count.
