As if nine Emmy Awards weren’t enough validation, “Schitt’s Creek” is getting another sign of entertainment world approval with news that its co-creator, Daniel Levy, will host an episode of “Saturday Night Live.”

Levy, who co-created the runaway hit Canadian comedy with his father Eugene Levy, posted a photo on Twitter of cards with his and Phoebe Bridgers’ names pinned to a bulletin board with the exclamation “OMFG.”

Levy is due to host the Feb. 6 episode with Bridgers as the musical guest. They were among the first three hosting pairs announced Friday for the NBC sketch comedy show’s new episodes.

The Toronto-born Levy, who began his career as an “MTV Live” host and gained initial fame as a co-host of “The Hills: Live After Show,” has vaulted into the upper Hollywood echelons since “Schitt’s Creek” became a critical darling south of the border.

The series, which starred Levy father and son, along with Catherine O’Hara and Annie Murphy as a down-on-their-luck rich family in a small town, set records last September by sweeping all of the comedy categories the night of the Emmy Awards — netting Dan Levy personal Emmys as an actor, director, writer and executive producer of the show — and winning the most Emmys for a comedy in a single year, with nine.

Daniel also signed a multiyear deal in 2019 to produce scripted projects for ABC Studios, and has appeared in recent movies such as “Happiest Season,” alongside Kristen Stewart, and “Coastal Elites,” which starred Bette Midler, Sarah Paulson and Issa Rae.

The Canadian Press suggested that Eugene Levy, who starred in legendary comedy series “SCTV,” which some have called Canada’s “SNL,” might have some tips for his son.

“That’s my boy!!” Eugene tweeted Friday about the “SNL” announcement.

The other hosts announced include “A Quiet Place” and “The Office” actor John Krasinski, with musician Machine Gun Kelly on Jan. 30, and Regina King, making waves with her directorial debut “One Night in Miami,” on Feb. 13, with musical guest Nathaniel Rateliff.

“SNL” has been back in the studio since October, after putting “SNL at Home” shows together remotely amid the pandemic.
